  IMPORTANT NOTES:
 
  Qualification equivalency and recognition department in the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation is the responsible authority to recommend the Non-Omani educational institutes in various countries in the world. They are responsible for the equivalence of educational qualifications for students that are studying outside Oman.
 
  Qualification equivalence from non-Omani educational institutions, will be according to the principles and criteria for scientific qualifications of the Sultanate, in addition to the following:
 
  Student must get a written approval from the ministry, before joining to any institution of higher education, and the Qualification equivalency Committee has the full right not to do any equation of qualifications issued by any institution that does not get the written approval.
 
  The educational institutions must be recommended by MoHERI before the student joining it.
 
  The study mode in the educational institutions must be approved by MoHERI.
 
  Academic qualifications must meet the acceptance and graduation conditions.
 
  Academic programs offered by government and private institutions of higher education must be approved in that country.
 
  In case of students, wishing to continue his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, they must do the following:
 
  Student must get a written approval from the ministry, before joining to any institution of higher education outside the Sultanate.
 
  The educational institution must be among the list of recommended educational institutions by MoHERI and the program must be supported.
 
  Study mode must be full time for diploma, bachelor's and master certificates, and in case of having irregular attendance throughout the study period in the educational institution that he joined, the Committee has the full right not to do any equation of qualifications after graduation. They should have the entry and exit stamps from that country in the passport.
 
  Ensure that the non-professional graduate programs are as academic programs and it is equivalent to a Master's degree or PhD and not Bachelor’s degree example: (Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Pharmacy Pham D, Doctor of Juris Doctor of JD, equivalent to a bachelor degree and not a doctorate).
 
  In the case of BA, which is 3 years, as in (United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland) Students should get “honors” to get his BA equivalence. In case, he got “ordinary”, then BA degree will be equivalent to higher diploma.
 
 
  If you want to continue for study by E-learning service (online) for MA and PhD, you must provide the following conditions:
 
  The educational institution must be among the list of recommended E-learning institutions by MoHERI.
 
  E-learning service is only for master's and PHD programs, it does not apply to undergraduate and diploma programs.
 
  Do not allow students to study E-learning for any program that requires the acquisition of practical skills such as those of a medical nature, clinical and health assistance programs, engineering programs or specialized programs such as fellowships that require the total attendance at the educational institution system.
 
 
  The list of recommended educational institutions is updated from time to time by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.
